Thanks for visiting us. I'm Shannon, the founder of Aromarrr NZ - rest, relax and recover with aromatherapy.
I was born and raised in Rotorua, New Zealand. I am a former world champion Black Fern (women's rugby) and a qualified flying instructor and commercial pilot.
I was a fit and healthy young person when entirely out of the blue, I suffered a stroke at only 32. I was desperate to find something to help my recovery and reduce the stress and anxiety I was feeling. I started researching herbal remedies, which led me to discover the natural benefits of essential oil diffusers and essential oils.
I was devastated when told I would never fly again and lost my aviation medical after suffering the stroke. Through the daily use of essential oils, I noticed a significant reduction in stress and anxious feelings, a great improvement in my mood and much better, restful sleep. This former non-believer was hooked!
